Emergency Cards Limited (“Emergency Cards”) Privacy Policy demonstrates our commitment to protecting your privacy while complying with our obligations under the Privacy Act 2020 (Privacy Act). We recognise that your personal information is confidential and that it is important for you to know how we handle, gather, store and use your personal information. By using our website, you acknowledge and authorise for Emergency Cards to collect, use, disclose, store and process your personal information in accordance with Privacy Policy.
Use of our website and the services and products we provide are intended for use by people located in New Zealand and are not intended for use by anyone located outside of New Zealand.

Your personal information and/or non-identifiable information either in full or in part will be held by Emergency Cards Limited, Christchurch and will be held for the duration of fulfilling your request for order of product or products, and/or services, for as long as your personal information is required for the purposes it was disclosed, and as per any legal requirement to keep financial and business records. Emergency Cards Limited does not receive or hold payment information in regard to credit card details.

The primary purpose for which we collect personal information about you is to enable us to perform our business activities in order to provide you with the products and/or services you have requested from us. • To communicate with you regarding the processing of your requests, and/or delivery of the goods you have ordered

All the personal information we collect and as provided by you is voluntary. By accessing and using our website you do so by your own free will. You only provide to Emergency Cards Limited the information that you choose to provide us with. If you choose not to provide us with some or all of the personal information described within this Privacy Policy or as prompted to on the website or mobile application, then we may not be able to provide you with the products or services to the same standard or in its/their entirety, as that which may be advertised or promoted, in which instances Emergency Cards Limited will not be held liable for misrepresentation of goods or for said goods not being fit for purpose. • Your access and use of our website, which may also include your registration details and information relating to your use of the website and the services, such as the content you access (for example, the products or pages you have viewed, or the search enquiries you input),

• Your completion of an application or information form for a product purchase, account setup or general enquiry
WHAT WE MAY DO WITH YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION?
We may use the information provided by you to Emergency Cards Limited to provide the products, and or services that you have requested of us. Where Emergency Cards Limited utilises third parties to undertake services in order to fulfil your request(s), we may only provide those third parties with some or all of your information, and only if that information is required by them and only to the extent required to fulfil those requests made by you or us. • Existing or potential Suppliers or Service providers such as plastic card manufacturers, web hosting providers, IT systems administrators, post/couriers, payment processors or electronic network administrators
• Other specific third parties authorised by you to receive information held by us
We require any third party to protect your information against unauthorised use or disclosure and we take reasonable steps to ensure that as recipients of your personal information they do not breach the privacy obligations relating to your personal information.
Third-parties will only have access to your personal information needed to perform the services we engage them for however we do not authorise them to use your personal information for any other purpose.
Emergency Cards Limited accepts no responsibility for any loss, misuse, unauthorised access or disclosure, alteration or destruction of personal information which you submit to us. Beyond the above, we release personal information only when it is permitted under the Privacy Act or required by law for legal compliance and law enforcement (including to government agencies with statutory law enforcement responsibilities, and/or to your Internet Service Provider or network administrator); to facilitate court proceedings; enforce or apply our terms and conditions; or protect the rights, property, or safety of Emergency Cards Limited, our users, or others, and where we reasonably believe that disclosure is necessary. Government agencies with statutory roles enabling them to request data from us include but are not restricted to the Police, Inland Revenue and the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment.
HOW YOU CAN ACCESS, CORRECT OR UPDATE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION
You may request access to any personal information we hold about you at any time by contacting us at contact@emergencycards.co.nz or via our 'Contact Us' page. Your request will be processed in accordance with the Privacy Act 2020.
If you make an access request, we will ask you to verify your identity before we provide any information. In order to confirm identity, we may ask that you provide the email address you used to procure the products or services, address confirmation and two forms of photographic identification, such as a copy of your driving licence or passport and recent utility bill, and enough information to which your original request relates.
There may be instances where we cannot grant you access to the personal information we hold. For example, there is not enough validating evidence to confirm the identity of the requestor, or we may need to refuse access if granting access would interfere with the privacy of others, or if it would result in a breach of confidentiality. If that happens, in most circumstances we will give you written reasons for any refusal.
If you believe that the personal information we hold about you is incorrect, incomplete or inaccurate, then you may request us to amend it. We will consider if the information requires amendment and will not charge for making any amendments if these are of our error. If the amendments requested are as a result of the user and not an error attributed to Emergency Cards Limited, then we may charge for any such amendments as outlined on our website.
If we do not agree that there are grounds for amendment, then Emergency Cards will let you know the reasons for the decision.
If setup to do so, Registered users of our website may be able access and update their user details online at any time. In doing so, we request that you keep your information as current as possible so that we may continue to improve our service to you.
If your request for information or amendment is declined and you’re not happy with our reasons for not providing the information, please contact us in the first instance. HOW YOU CAN CONTACT US ABOUT A BREACH OF PRIVACY
If you believe your privacy has been breached please contact us at contact@emergencycards.co.nz or via our 'Contact Us' page and provide details of the incident so that we can investigate it. Emergency Cards Limited will endeavour to determine the nature of the breach and how it occurred. We may contact you during the process to seek any further clarification if necessary. If a breach is found it will be rectified and measures will be put in place as soon as possible to prevent any further breaches from taking place. We will endeavour to resolve all investigations within a reasonable timeframe. We will treat your requests or complaints in confidence and will contact you within a reasonable timeframe to understand your concerns and outline options regarding how they may be resolved. We will aim to ensure that the matter is resolved in a timely and appropriate manner.
In the event of a privacy breach that Emergency Cards believes has caused (or is likely to cause) serious harm, we will notify the Office of the Privacy Commissioner and affected individuals as soon as possible.
SECURITY MEASURES THAT ARE IN PLACE
We will take all reasonable steps to protect the personal information that we hold from misuse, loss, disclosure or unauthorised access or modification, and where personal information is given either in part or in its entirety to a third-party provider in order to provision goods, Emergency Cards Limited will do everything reasonably within its power to prevent unauthorised use or unauthorised disclosure of the information.
